Magnetic Shot Plate Block

Gemina magnetic shot plate blocks are machined from stainless steel and measure approximately 100mm in diameter and 35mm in thickness. Contains 1x neodymium magnets. Made in England, UK.

All purchases are made to order and will take 4-5 working days to dispatch. You will receive a dispatch notification via email with your tracking number. All hardened items will take an extra 3-5 working days for the heat treatment process. These times may increase during promotions, sales and holiday periods.

UK DELIVERY

UK delivery is free on orders over £35. A delivery charge of £6 applies to orders under £35.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

Free International Shipping on orders over £125GBP. Orders under £125GBP have flat rate shipping charge of £10-27 (depending on country) for all items in basket. We use UPS/DPD for all international deliveries. The buyer is solely responsible for understanding and complying with the import requirements of the destination country and any duty, VAT, taxes, or clearance charges that may be applicable outside of the UK.

If using in a press, ensure your work and spacers are properly centred to the press ram at all times.

Do not use spacers to bridge gaps in your press.

Do not use excessive force when pressing mild steel shot plates or dies. The die may be dented (particularly with small designs). Press slowly, anneal regularly and check progress. 

If hammering, always use a punch and do not hammer directly onto the plate. To gain a good impression use a 2-4lb lump hammer and punch. Work on a solid and rigid surface such as a stump, an anvil or concrete floor.

Always ensure the die is on a flat, smooth surface when pressing.

Keep steel tools well oiled to prevent corrosion. 

Wear appropriate PPE, such as eye protection, long sleeves and leather apron.

Regularly inspect steel tools for wear and sharp edges.

Steel can become brittle and may fracture under extreme stress.
