Tapered Hardened Pusher for Shot Plates & Impression Dies

The tapered pusher is made from hardened tool steel and measures approximately:

Face Diameter: Approximately 15-16mm
Overall Diameter: 36mm
Length: 20mm

The tapered pusher attaches to the universal magnetic base (not included).

Some hydraulic presses have a steel rod extending downwards from the underneath of the jack - the universal base (not included) and pusher attaches to this rod. Other hydraulic presses have the ram extending from bottom to top. If your press is like that, attach the universal base and pusher to the underside of the top press frame.

The pusher face should be pointing down towards the die or shot plate. You can use the pusher in any type of press - hydraulic, kick press, fly press etc.

Important! - Always ensure the pusher is placed centrally on the ram or frame before pressing.

This is the tapered diameter pusher. You may also need the universal magnetic base (not included). For larger dies, you may prefer the flat faced pusher.

All hardened items will take an extra 3-5 working days for the heat treatment process. These times may increase during promotions, sales and holiday periods.

UK delivery is free on orders over £35. A delivery charge of £6 applies to orders under £35.

Free International Shipping on orders over £125GBP. Orders under £125GBP have flat rate shipping charge of £10-27 (depending on country) for all items in basket. We use UPS/DPD for all international deliveries. The buyer is solely responsible for understanding and complying with the import requirements of the destination country and any duty, VAT, taxes, or clearance charges that may be applicable outside of the UK.

A magnetic base and pusher attaches to the underside of the top platen of a hydraulic press and forces the metal into the die. Always make sure the magnetic base and the pusher is centred on the press both back to front and side to side. 
Do not use the magnetic base to press items, always use a pusher. 
Line up the part of the die you are pressing centrally to the pusher. 
Wear appropriate PPE. 
Regularly inspect steel tools and implements for wear and sharp edges. 
Keep steel tools dry well oiled to prevent corrosion. 
Steel can be brittle and may shatter under extreme stress.
